Reloaded Softball ‘17 got back to work this afternoon after a tough weekend. Blake Trahan, owner of The U, joined us at practice to share his knowledge and expertise on fielding fundamentals. The girls enjoyed it so much and we added lots of new tools to our toolbox! Always growing and developing our girls to be the best humans they can be on and off the field!

A couple of weeks ago we took the plunge and threw Hadley at Coach Blake Trahan for defense and speed and agility. 3 times a week he sends us workouts and different drills for her to do and every now and then she pops in the see him. 💯 the best decision we could have made for her.. not only for defense reasons but for her confidence and her struggle with the mental part of the sport!
Watch the video for a little giggle about padro in her glove! 🤣🥎

As much as I’d love to keep Blake at the U and what he’s teaching a secret I just don’t believe it would be possible lol. The games evolving, pitching is evolving, girls are throwing faster, and filthier than ever. All you have to do is turn on the tv and watch what these girls are doing to be successful. Before long I believe what Blake’s teaching will be the new norm. Nothing crazy just simple and reactive! He’s ahead of the game! We like to stay ahead !

Talk about 1000000% spot on. I’m old school, just because I’m old. But, you better bet your ass when anyone, especially Blake Trahan is talking hitting, I’m all ears. Blake you hit the nail on the head buddy. I’m just gonna add that what I see is that it’s not even so much about content or mechanics with some, it’s just straight up EGO. Everyday I study hitting, I realize just how much I DONT KNOW. All I do know is I gotta get better for my athletes.

My girl! For everyone in her cheering section, thank you! The U, Blake Trahan, you’re the best in everything you do! I truly believe you’re helping her mental game as much as her physical game!

Go see Blake Trahan at The U in Kinder to see results in your work. You have to put in the work, but he gives you the work, tools, and the motivation to accomplish your goals. But, you have to do the work. Brayden has been in The U 2-3 days a week for almost 2 years now. The results are clear.

Shoutout to coach Blake at The U! I tell people quite often how blessed we are to live only 20 minutes away from The U. The U isn’t just where we take lessons. It’s a home and safe harbor we can count on when the road gets rough. She may do what I say bc she has to, but she does what coach Blake says bc she wants to! Thanks for all you do. Not only for Kinley, but for all of these kids you pour into! Keep moving the needle!

I’m going to brag on Blake Trahan DC Arceneaux and the crew at The U.
Brayden moved from rookie strength and conditioning to remote strength and conditioning this month and we were skeptical what this would do and mean. So he is not a baseball kid and is more advanced than rookie work outs. The remote program made us think we would be paying for him to work out at home.
Not the case. So what remote means at The U is they are self paced but in The U facility, using their equipment and monitored by their staff. The app they use has a workout routine for the kid each day they are there and set to their sport. It tracks every rep, every amount of weight, and their progress. Each exercise has a video attached to it made by The U staff so the kid can see the proper form and what they are to do. They have to get their own equipment out and put it back so this teaches them responsibility also. Yesterday Brayden did 230 reps and lifted over 1100lbs in an hour. It says an hour and a half but I started the workout early to see how it works. The app also lets you video an exercise and post it to a coach so they can evaluate your form and progress. This is important to this generation as they like feedback and videos. It also lets the coaches use the videos to share with others how kids are doing and post to social media awesome progress. This is a workout with data collection for analysis, what a great idea.
Thanks guys, good work here.

lf you havent been then go check them out at The U. You will not be disappointed! From the facility, to Blake and his staff, and the complete knowledge of the game you will not find better. V Prime is heading back.

This facility is a game-changer for aspiring ball players. Jack’s first experience with radar, achieving 72mph as a freshman, demonstrates the incredible progress that can be made with the guidance of top-notch instructors like Blake Trahan and DC Arceneaux

The growth shown on the assessment yesterday impressed me very much. Brayden puts in the grind every week on the remote program and it showed. Thanks Blake Trahan and The U for all you do building young athletes.

Not one to boast about my kids. I’ve always taught them to work hard and be a better competitor and teammate than anything else. With that being said, with the addition of Blake Trahan and The U I will say don’t sleep on this kid. You will hear that name down the road. Love you Bryce Deason.
